After the black army's resounding victory over the white kingdom, they marched into the conquered town and demanded ale at the tavern. Although the wenches were hesitant to serve their enemies (for these men slayed their husbands and brothers and sons) they were too frightened not to comply. But as the night went on, the overpowering attraction of the black army was palpable and little by little, the once proud women of the white kingdom became tavern wenches for the new kings of the land.
